Reach Higher. Sleep Better. Use Your Shoulder Again.

Shoulder pain can make getting dressed, lifting a child, working, exercising, and even sleeping miserable. We look for the real source of the problem—inside the shoulder, the neck, the upper back, or all three—then build a plan to help you move and heal.

The shoulder rarely works alone

Why Does My Shoulder Hurt?

The shoulder depends on the rotator cuff, shoulder blade, collarbone, upper back, neck, nerves, tendons, and surrounding muscles working together. A problem in one area can change the way the entire system moves.

Pain may follow an injury, repetitive work, sports, poor posture, arthritis, or months of compensation. Sometimes pain felt in the shoulder is actually coming from the neck.

Could your shoulder pain be coming from your neck?

Problems We Commonly Evaluate

  • Rotator cuff irritation and tendinopathy
  • Shoulder impingement and painful overhead motion
  • Frozen shoulder and loss of mobility
  • Bursitis and repetitive-use pain
  • Arthritis and age-related stiffness
  • Pain after a fall, workout, work injury, or car accident
  • Nerve irritation from the neck or upper back

Seek urgent medical care after major trauma, visible deformity, inability to lift the arm, sudden severe weakness, chest pressure, shortness of breath, or shoulder pain with sweating or nausea.

A Better Shoulder Exam Looks Beyond the Painful Spot

We check shoulder motion, strength, joint mechanics, posture, the shoulder blade, the upper back, and the nerves and joints of the neck. The goal is simple: identify what is irritated, what is not moving correctly, and what still has the ability to heal. Those findings also guide which rehabilitative exercises are safe, useful, and right for you.

How We Help Shoulder Pain

Corrective Chiropractic Care

When restricted movement in the neck, upper back, ribs, or shoulder blade is adding stress to the shoulder, precise chiropractic care can help restore better mechanics and make movement easier.

SoftWave Healing Technology

SoftWave delivers broad-focused shockwaves into painful or injured tissue to increase blood flow, stimulate the body’s repair response, activate resident stem cells, and help stubborn tendon and soft-tissue injuries heal.

Customized Physical Therapy & Home Care

Your in-office rehabilitation is customized to your examination and X-ray findings. We use targeted physical-therapy exercises to help rehabilitate injured spinal tissues and the shoulder or other extremities, rebuild mobility and stability, and restore confident movement. You also receive a home-care program designed specifically for your condition, goals, and stage of recovery.

Clear Referrals When Needed

If the examination suggests a fracture, major tear, instability, or another problem that needs imaging or an orthopedic opinion, we will help point you in the right direction.

What Research Shows

A randomized study in the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine found that thoracic spinal manipulation produced measurable changes in painful-shoulder motion, supporting the importance of examining the spine and shoulder together.

A 2024 systematic review also found that extracorporeal shockwave therapy can improve pain and function for many people with rotator cuff tendinopathy, although results vary by condition and treatment method.
